Our Very Hard Decision.......

Over the past couple of days, Husband and I were forced to make a very hard decision regarding our pursuit for Baby Hill. Now that I am cyst free (once again) we were given the option to start again with treatment and attempt IUI #2. However, after many long talks, Husband and I have decided we will be waiting another month before moving forward.

There were many factors that led us to this decision: 1)my crazy schedule for the next couple of weeks does not allow much room for constantly being in a doctor's office 2)this gives us some extra time to save more money for treatments 3)we will have a couple weeks to just focus on US for a bit without the drama of fertility treatments
But, most importantly, I am going to try to take the next couple of weeks as a time to de-stress. The constant worry of "are we going to get pregnant?" and the constant pills, shots, tests, etc have really started to take a toll on me lately and as Husband so delicately put it my stress is now starting to stress him out too!

I am hoping this is the right decision, I am hoping we do not take a step backwards by using this "down time", and I am really, really hoping that after having a couple of weeks to relax my body will fully cooperate with treatments.

I have already had several people tell me this is just what my body needs right now and that it will probably end up helping us get pregnant, but right now I can only hope they are right!

You won't regret it! Although we aren't doing treatments, taking some "time off" of concentrating on getting pregnant has done wonders for us! Besides, Baby Hill won't come one second sooner than he/she's supposed to, which means taking a month off won't affect the arrival of that perfect bundle! Praying for you two!

I know this must have been a really difficult decision for you to make. But I don't think it ever hurts to give your body a break and even just to take that stress off your marriage for a few weeks. Fingers crossed this is exactly what your body needs and you will have a successful cycle next month! :)

I am so pleased to hear that you are allowing this time to really relax and take care of yourself - as much as we are all pulling for Baby Hill, we love YOU and want YOU to be ok first...enjoy this time sweetheart, and then there will be a Baby Hill :)

I am on a break after two back to back month of IUIs and it's so nice to not have to worry about meds, treatments, doctor appointments, etc. Hopefully this break will be just what you need to refocus and have some time for you both.

Hi There... Im a passer-byer and just had to post to tell you that I'm living proof miracles happen. Long story short, my husband and I have been together for 9 yrs - miscarried twice and had been going through a slew of fertility treatments such as yourself including 2 surgeries, pills, shots etc after finding out I had endometreosis, was not ovulating and had several fibroid tumours.

Last yr finally our dr's gave up on us and we were told that there was nothing more they could do for us. I was so devastistated I quit my job planning to recover and de-stress when I found out I conceived naturally soon after! We now have a healthy baby boy whose turning 3 months next wk!

I wanted to share my story with you to encourage you that anythung is possible andthat this time of recovery and de-stressing could be exactly what you need.

I welcome you to visit my blog as I too write about my struggles with fertility and now my new life with our little tiger.

All the best to you.
